Kurds in the German city of Hamburg took to the streets to demand freedom for Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan who is held in aggravated isolation in Turkey.

Following the demonstration, members of Kurdish young women’s movement Jinên Ciwanên Azad staged a march from the train station to Steimdamm.

In the wake of the march, German police carried out a raid and conducted ID check in the Democratic Kurdish Society Center’s Hamburg branch.
