Delegations from many different countries continue to support and join the resistance of the Kurdish people at Suruç-Kobanê border.
Representatives from French political parties are paying a visit to Suruç- Kobanê border where a resistance vigil in solidarity with Kobanê continues since the beginning of the ISIS attacks on the town two months ago. A delegation formed by representatives from French Communist Party, New Anti-Capitalist Party and Liberal Alternative will take over and be holding the resistance vigil at the border this night.
A delegation of French politicians, made up of Joel Dutto from the French Communist Party, Mireille Court and Yann Puech from New Anti-Capitalist Party, Mehdi Leveque from Liberal Alternative, and Yvan Tellier, a political friend of Kurdish people in Britain, and journalists Bruno Deniel Laurent and Chris Den Hond, has first visited the Suruç municipality after arriving in the district.
The French delegation was welcomed at the Suruç Municipalitiy’s conference hall and briefed about the recent developments in Kobanê and Suruç by Faruk Tatlı, a member of Association Solidarity and Aid for Rojava, İsmail Kaplan, DBP Suruç branch co-chair, Feleknas Uca, and Serhat Tüm from the Kobanê Crisis Coordination. The delegation then visited the tent cities where people from Kobanê who had to take refuge in Suruç reside.
The French politicians will later go to the Mehser village where they will spend the night joining the resistance vigil in solidarity with the Kobanê resistance.
