Gang groups cross into Rojava from Turkey

Turkey's support to the al-Qaeda linked armed groups attacking Kurds in Rojava has once again been revealed by the documents People's Defense Units (YPG) seized after they prevented an attempted attack by a group of gang jihadists.

A group affiliated to the ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Sham) planned to attack the YPG-controlled Xedemat control point between the Azaz city and Afrin's Qıtme village on Sunday. YPG fighters prevented the group and killed the gang members after realizing them on their way to the control point. YPG fighters seized the bodies of two ISIS members as well as their weapons and many documents which reveal the fact that the al-Qaeda affiliated armed groups attacking Kurds in Rojava are acting with the support of foreign powers, that of Turkey in particular.

Among these documents ANF has obtained is also the passport of Jaser Abdulmohsen Ali Aljasır from Saudi Arabia. The stamp on Jaser's passport shows that he crossed into Syria from the southern province of Hatay in Turkey, once again proving that ISIL affiliated gang groups enter Rojava through Turkey.

According to the information on the passport, Jaser went to Jordan on 31.01 2013 and stayed there for a month before he turned back to his country, Saudi Arabia. He stayed there till July 21st when he entered Turkey through Hatay, as is shown by the stamp on his passport which reads “Turkish Republic Antakya Border Gate”. Jaser crossed into Syria from Hatay four months ago.

On the other hand, local sources report that a large number of gang members have entered and left western Kurdistan in recent days, using the Bab El Selami border gate which is controlled by the ISIS and has recently been closed by Turkey. Reports also say that many cars coming from Kilis are recently entering the Azaz city in the evening hours, and that the gang groups are also delivering weapons and ammunition with them.
