HPG (People's Defense Forces) and YJA STAR (Free Women’s Troops) guerrillas together with the peshmerga and Iraqi forces have launched a joint operation against ISIS gangs in the towns of Jalawla and Sadiye in the very early hours of the morning.

Kurdish forces are reported to have entered the town of Jalawla in northern Diyala as fierce clashes with ISIS gangs are continuing.
