HDP candidates meet voters in Ankara

HDP co-chair Temelli said the party will not be intimidated by attacks and detentions

HDP co-chair, Sezai Temelli joined his party's candidates in Ankara on Tuesday.

Together with candidates Veli Saçılık, Filiz Kerestecioğlu, Nuray Turkmen, and Nazim Karakurt the HDP co-chair went to Batıkent Square and Tuzluçayır Square to meet people.

Behind the HDP election bus, hundreds of vehicles formed a convoy and wandered around the streets of Batıkent, calling on the people to go to the polls on 24 June and give a vote for democracy. More citizens joined the convoy by standing on the curbs chanting slogans and making the victory sign, while other cars also followed the bus.

HDP co-chair Temelli, spoke to people and called on the Constitutional Court to rule in favour of the release of HDP President candidate, Selahattin Demirtas, who must be granted the same rights as the other candidates.

"We want to wake up on 25 June - Temelli said - with the "smell of freedom".
Talking about the intimidation, assault and repression suffered by HDP members during this election campaign, Temelli said: "We will not stop, we will not go back".
