HDP deputies carried photos of Leyla Güven in Parliament

After the Peace Vigil in the Assembly, the HDP deputies carried photos of the HDP Hakkari MP into Parliament.

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) deputies entered the General Assembly carrying photos of DTK co-chair and Hakkari MP Leyla Güven, who has been on hunger strike for 91 days demanding the end of isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The HDP deputies had organised a Peace Vigil for Leyla and against isolation in the Parliament calling on the Assembly to act before it is too late.

The HDP deputies, including HDP co-chairs Pervin Buldan and Sezai Temelli, were also carrying cards writing ‘Long Live Leyla Güven’ to put on their benches.
