Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Mersin Provincial executive, Havva Tekin, was taken into custody after a raid carried out by police at her house.
Tekin was taken to the anti-terror Branch of the Mersin Provincial Security Directorate after a medical control.
Tekin is accused of having participated in actions to support HDP Hakkari deputy, Leyla Güven, who has been on hunger strike for a month, demanding an end to the isolation regime imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Turkish police have been recently arresting several hunger strike activists.
