In Çayırova district of western Kocaeli province, Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) local co-chairs Şahismail Tohumcu and Emine Karaaslan have been taken into custody following a police raid on their flats Wednesday morning.

Police forces later conducted a raid on the party office in the district and confiscated all the documents.
