HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) İzmir provincial co-chair Cavit Uğur was hospitalized after sustaining an injury as unidentified persons with arms attempted to abduct him yesterday evening.

The co-chair of the HDP İzmir organisation was pursued by some people in an official and three civilian cars as he drove home after being discharged from Ege University Hospital.

Uğur was stopped and detained by the group while on his way home at midnight.
