A delegation of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) met with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) President Liliane Maury Pasquier and the Council of Europe (CoE) Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland yesterday.
PACE United Left Group Member and HDP’s Deputy Co-chairs for Foreign Relations Hisyar Ozsoy and Feleknas Uca, PACE Member Pero Dundar, PACE Honorary Member Ertugrul Kurkcu and HDP CoE Representative Faik Yagiz were in the HDP delegation.
The delegation discussed Leyla Guven’s health and imprisonment in the meeting. The necessity to end the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan was also discussed.
HDP delegation issued a statement and said both meetings went positively. The HDP delegation has been holding meetings with various country delegations and commission representatives in the CoE on the same matter.
