Diyarbakır 8th Heavy Penal Court issued its verdict on the case against Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Amed MP Idris Baluken Thursday morning.

Baluken, who was a member of the Imrali Delegation and a negotiator for peace, was sentenced to 16 years and 11 months in prison.

Baluken is currently in prison in Kandira Prison in the western province of İzmit.
