HPG: 5 soldiers killed in Trabzon

The guerrilla action carried out in Trabzon two days ago left 5 Turkish soldiers dead, including one officer, HPG announced.

People's Defense Forces (HPG) Press Office released a statement on its official website, reporting that guerrillas carried out an action in the village of Aydinlar in Trabzon's Maçka district on 11 August.

The following details were shared by HPG Press Office:

"At 15.00 on August 11, our forces ambushed a secret unit of the occupying Turkish army in the countryside of Aydinlar village in Trabzon's Maçka district. As a result of the effective hits of our forces, 5 soldiers were killed, one officer included, while another one was wounded. After the action, the Turkish army launched an operation in the area."
