People's Defence Forces Press Centre (HPG-BIM) has released a statement giving information about a clash between guerrillas and Turkish soldiers in Erzurum.
According to the statement, clashes erupted between HPG guerrillas and Turkish soldiers who were taking part in an operation in an area between the villages of Gerê and Reşadiyê in Karayazı district.
Two soldiers were wounded in the clash that erupted at 11 am today and ended an hour later when Turkish soldiers withdrew from the area.
HPG-BIM also reported that guerrilla forces have intervened in the military activities of Turkish army units deployed at the Uludere border.
According to the statement, HPG guerrillas carried out an armed action with heavy weaponry yesterday evening to intervene the activities of the Turkish military units constructing a security road and establishing positions around the Maymun hill at the borderline of Media Defense Areas and Uludere since 24 September.
The Turkish military withdrew construction vehicles from the site after the HPG action, and carried out howitzer and mortar shelling on the areas of Martyr Kendal, Deriye Davetiye, Martyr Ronahi and Martyr Renas.
HPG-BIM said the Turkish army also continued reconnaissance flights in the Haftanin region controlled by guerrilla forces in Media Defense Areas since Saturday.
