Hunger strike in Russia continues on day 10

Kurdish hunger strike resistance against the isolation of Abdullah Ocalan has spread throughout the world.

The hunger strike launched by Kurds in Russia to demand an end to the aggravated isolation regime imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan, continues on the 10th day.

The hunger strike, started in solidarity with the fast of Leyla Guven, Nasır Yağiz, Imam Sis, 14 activists in Strasbourg as well as the political prisoners jailed in Turkey in PKK and PJAK cases, was taken over by group from Krasnodar on Tuesday.

One of the hunger strike activists, Krasnodar Kurdish Cultural Autonomy Co-president İşxan Ankosi said: “The Turkish state policy of isolation against Abdullah Ocalan is a continuation of the policies of denial and annihilation against the Kurdish people.”

Ankosi highlighted the international conspiracy against Ocalan and said: “Backed by NATO and Gladio, the Turkish state on February 15, 1999 carried out an unprecedented conspiracy against Ocalan. The conspiracy was neutralized through Ocalan’s vision and efforts. Unable to achieve its desired result out of the conspiracy, the Turkish state is seeking to achieve a result through imposing isolation on our leader. This isolation is an expression of the Turkish state’s despair to face with the will of free people. Our people must gather and unite around the Leader. With the will of the people, we can choke the Turkish state politics that insists on denial and annihilation.”
