Iran arrested Kurdish writer Eli Reza Spahi Lain in Kelat Nadiri town near Meshed, capital of Razavi-Khorasan province.
According to local sources, Lain was detained for one of his articles and appeared before judge in Meshed last week.
An Iranian court ordered Lain’s arrest and sent him to Wekin Prison in Meshed.
Lain is a well-known opposition figure in Iran and was detained several times by Iranian intelligence and security forces.
Lain is the author of more than 10 books. He writes in both Kurdish and Persian.
