Iraqi President Jalal Talabani's guard Serwet Heereşîd was killed in his house last night, reported the Xendan news agency close to the YNK (Patriotic Union of Kurdistan).

Heereşîd was killed at around 4 am in his house in Suleimania, as has also been confirmed by the police executive in the city. The perpetrator(s) and reason of the murder remains unknown yet, while the man is alleged to have been killed by three people.

Forty three years old Serwet Heereşîd has worked as Talabani's guard since 1994.
