Fighters of the YPG/YPJ (People's/Women's Defense Units) have repelled all ISIS attacks in Serêkaniyê-Til Temir-Hasekê region. 32 members of the ISIS gangs were killed in clashes and offensives in the mentioned area.

YPG Press Centre said in a written statement that ISIS gangs continued their attacks in the region of Serêkaniyê-Til Temir-Hasekê, which forms the western border line of the Cizîre Canton, adding that all the attacks have been repelled and gangs have been inflicted severe blows.

According to the statement, gangs launched a fresh wave of attacks on Til Xenzir region 23 km southwest of Serêkaniyê at around 4 am yesterday morning. Heavy clashes broke out upon the ISIS attacks that targeted two separate positions of the Defense Units, YPG said, adding that attacks were repelled and gangs were inflicted severe blows in the wake of clashes that ceaselessly continued till the evening.

25 gang members were killed and many others were wounded, while corpses of 5 as well as large quantities of ammunition belonging to them were seized.

YPG said that two fighters of the Defense Units were martyred during the repelling of the attacks.

The statement said that YPG/YPJ carried out offensives against the gang groups deployed in Til Sikra area near the village of Xerîta between Til Temir and Hasekê last night. The exact number of ISIS casualties couldn't be verified, while large quantities of ammunition of theirs were seized during the offensive.

A vehicle of the gangs was destroyed and a member of theirs was killed in clashes that broke out after YPG/YPJ targeted a strategic hill in the village of Til Nasir, the statement said.

Six other members of the gangs were killed and 3 were wounded in simultaneous attacks in which gang groups in the villages of Til Fweda, Til Baz and Til Hirmiz were targeted.

YPG/YPJ launched another offensive against the gang groups deployed in the village of Qertel southeast of Kobanê last night. In short-lasting clashes that erupted following the attack, a vehicle of the gangs was destroyed, with militants inside, and 13 gang members were ascertained killed.
