HPG (People's Defense Forces) and YJA STAR (Free Women’s Troops) guerrillas together with the peshmerga and Iraqi forces have launched a joint operation against ISIS gangs in the towns of Jalawla and Sadiye in the Xaneqin district of Kirkuk at around 04:30 in the morning.

People's Defense Forces Press Office HPG-BIM reported that as result of the operation which witnessed fierce clashes and lasted till 2 pm, both towns were taken under control by guerrilla and peshmerga forces.

3 gang members were killed and many others wounded in the joint operation by Kurdish forces.

HPG-BIM further stated that military activity after the operation was going on, and more details will be shared with the public as they come out.
