The Turkish army and the defence forces of the Kobanê Democratic Autonomous Administration launched a joint operation to evacuate the Turkish soldiers sustaining the security of the tomb. According to information obtained from YPG sources, the operation took place at 21:00 on 21 February and the soldiers were successfully evacuated.
Sources close to the YPG say that Turkish telephone networks have not been working in the area since yesterday evening.
YPG is expected to issue a statement about the details of the operation in the coming hours.
