Thirty six year old driver Salih Kaçmaz was shot dead after having a discussion with a man over the Kurdish music he was listening to in his truck.

According to the information received from Kaçmaz family, the man parked his truck near a field as he was making his way to Bayat village in Bor district of Niğde province. The plantation owner came near Kaçmaz and warned him over the loud Kurdish music he was listening. The discussion turned to a quarrel during which the man shot Kaçmaz, leaving him seriously wounded at the scene. Kaçmaz was rushed to Bor state hospital where he however lost his life despite all the medical intervention made by the hospital staff.

The man who escaped the scene after the incident is now being searched by the gendarmerie.

Kaçmaz family, from Diyarbakır, is expected to receive the driver's body from Adana Forensic Medicine Institution today.
