Kurds protest for Öcalan outside the Parliament of Victoria

Kurdish people are protesting the 15 February plot against Abdullah Öcalan all around the world.

Kurds living in Melbourne, Australia staged a demonstration outside the Parliament of Victoria in protest at the international conspiracy that resulted in the abduction of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan from Kenya to Turkey on 15 February 1999.

The demonstrators denounced the aggravated isolation imposed on Öcalan in Imrali Island Prison and said it was an unlawful practice, calling for freedom for the Kurdish leader.

The activists remarked that the democratic confederalism project presented by Öcalan was a hope for progressive humanity and called for the removal of the PKK from the list of terrorist organisations.
