The Confederation of Kurdistan Communities in Germany (KON-MED) issued a written statement on the occasion of "October 10, Global Abdullah Öcalan Freedom Day" and announced the calendar of activities.

The statement reads that, "As KON-MED we support global campaigns initiated by the Freedom for Abdullah Ocalan Initiative, the Liberation Initiative which consists of people from Turkey and Kurdistan and pro-democracy and pro-peace people from all around the world, and we declare that we will actively participate these campaigns with all our structures".

'PERMANENT RESISTANCE WILL REMOVE THE COLONISTS'

Emphasising the crimes against humanity committed by the AKP-MHP fascism, the statement further remarks that "If we develop a determined and uninterrupted widespread resistance and total struggle in every field, the defeat and collapse of the colonialist Turkish state will be soon achieved. In such a process, forces that make foresight and decision mechanisms in favor of social freedom and take action on time will come out successfully. We will work and do as much as we need to in order to make this fascist group that has caused so much suffering to our peoples and our geography go away. The way to achieve this is through enhancing the Kurdish national unity, the democratic struggle and internationalist commonality and solidarity between the peoples of the region and the Kurds".

In the statement stressing that the greatest isolation in history is applied against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, the following message is given:

"Now is the time, the day is the day to break through the isolation, to take to the streets and to engage in constant diplomacy for the freedom of the Leader. We are initiating an indefinite action and struggle to smash the isolation and the Imrali system. Now our people have no patience and tolerance left to live with the Imrali system.

On Saturday, October 10, we invite you to participate in the most powerful way to the marches and rallies in 15 centers of Germany and 7 continents of the world. "
