Leyla Guven unable to attend visits for 12 days

DTK Co-chair Leyla Guven has been on a hunger strike for 76 days to demand an end to the isolation against Ocalan and has been unable to attend her lawyers’ visits for the last 12 days due to her health conditions.

Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) MP Leyla Guven launched an unlimited nonalternating hunger strike on November 8 demanding an end to the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan, which continues on day 76.

Leyla Guven’s lawyers had appealed to hold their visits in the ward instead of the visitation room on January 17, but they haven’t received an answer yet.

Guven hasn’t been able to attend her lawyers’ visits for 12 days, since January 10.

Guven’s lawyer Cemile Turhalli Balsak said Guven’s attendant told them Guven has had low blood pressure and throat pains for the last two days.
