The long march, which will continue for three days, will end in front of the Scottish parliament.
The long march in Scotland is part of the ‘End of Isolation, Occupation and Fascism; Time for Freedom’ campaign launched by the KCK on 12 September.
Turkey and Kurdistan Migrant Families Union(AvEG-KONA), Scotland Kurdish People's Assembly and Dundee International Workers Center are promoting the 3-day long march.
The organisers said in a statement that the action aimed at protesting and exposing the Turkish state's political genocide policies and the arrest attacks targeting the HDP and the ESP as well as the aggravated isolation policies imposed on all political prisoners, especially Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.
The organisers reminded that the march will end in front of the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh.
Alessandro Skarlatos, spokesman for the Dundee International Workers Center, expressed support to the long march and said: “We are walking shoulder to shoulder with the Kurdish people in Scotland, and our aim is to carry the latest political developments to the Scottish Parliament. We demand the end of the attacks of the Turkish state against the elected representatives of the HDP and the freedom of Öcalan."
The march will end with a protest in front of the Scottish Parliament tomorrow, 9 October.
