New phase launched in the Operation Cizire Storm

SDF General Command announced the initiation of a new phase in the Operation Cizire Storm to clear Deir ez-Zor territory of ISIS.
The statement by SDF General Command is as follows;
“The Operation Cizire Storm has proceeded to a new phase on Thursday and operational forces started to move from four flanks.
The first flank started from the village of Jazrat and advanced 20 km. During the resistance mounted by our forces against a suicide attack on this flank in Kebir village, 5 fighters of ours fell martyrs. The fighters are continuing to advance.
In the second flank, our forces have cleared the entire industrial zone of mines.
In the third flank, the village of Sed and the town of Suwar have been fully liberated and the town has been cleared of mines.
In the fourth flank, the fighters advanced 25 km from Shinad and Inad villages towards the Mergedê district, and liberated the village of Bir Nifax. In addition, the fighters seized the bodies of 5 gang members and some ammunition, and discovered a tunnel of the gangs. The fighters are making further advances for the liberation of the district and surroundings of Xabur.”
