Öcalan's niece denied visit by the prison administrator

Families of PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) leader Abdullah Öcalan and other inmates in İmralı prison have arrived in Gemlik Gendarme Command early Monday morning after the public prosecutor of Bursa approved their request for a visit to their relatives.

Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan's sister Fatma Öcalan and niece Dilek Öcalan, Cumali Karsu's sister Pervin Oduncu were waiting for the finalization of the procedures as authorities denied Dilek Öcalan permission to go to the island despite the permission of the Ministry of Justice.

Fatma Öcalan and Pervin Oduncu therewith stated they two will not go to the island either should Dilek Öcalan be denied visit to the prison.

In a statement to reporters, Dilek Öcalan said they were waiting for Ministry of Justice's answer after the administrator of the İmralı prison reportedly said that he will disallow Dilek Öcalan's visit to the island even if she is allowed by the Ministry.

The prison administrator has allegedly told families that; "The government is facing some problems which are being reflected to us as well. I am the Minister of Justice here".
