A quarrel erupted between AKP Batman Candidate Ahmet İnal and relatives of a candidate for nomination, Nezir Nasıroğlu, at an election office of the party in the province of Batman.

The quarrel over candidateship turned soon into an armed conflict which left Nezir Nasıroğlu's son Abid Nasıroğlu dead, and another person injured.

Police teams arriving the scene after the incident took intense security measures around the election office with armored vehicles.

AKP Batman provincial chair Diyadin Uçar who said the quarrel wasn't related with candidateship was refuted by witnesses who said that the incident took place because Nasıroğlu wasn't nominated as a candidate.
