YPG (People's Defense Units) Press Centre said in a written statement that the YPG/YPJ operation in and around Til Hemis in order for the elimination of the ISIS threat on Cizire Canton of Rojava, West Kurdistan, continued successfully.

Remarking that the YPG/YPJ forces who have entirely cleansed the area between Til Hemis and Til Berak of ISIS groups concentrated their operations on the south of the region.

Fierce clashes broke out near the village of Xizêla last night, YPG Press Centre said, adding that details of the fighting will be made public later.

The statement said that fighting between YPG/YPJ and ISIS groups also continued in Til Temir region, adding that 5 members of the gangs were killed in clashes that broke out after Defense Units intervened an ISIS group they noticed attempting to infiltrate an area controlled by YPG/YPJ near the village of Xerîta last night.

The statement added that one other ISIS member was killed in another attack in which YPG/YPJ targeted an ISIS group that attempted to infiltrate Mefreqa Sidiq (Sidiq Crossroads) near Heseke last night.
