Clashes between YPG/YPJ forces and the ISIS gangs continue by extending in the cantons of Cizîrê and Kobanê of Rojava, West Kurdistan.
Early this morning at around 04:00 intense clashes reportedly took place between the YPG forces and the ISIS gangs around Karakozak bridge, 30 km to the south west of Kobanê. It has been reported that the ISIS gangs blew up a bomb-laden truck at 04:45 near the bridge after which clashes broke out between the two sides.
ISIS gangs launched an attack on the village of Small Nasiriye with tanks and heavy weapons from the Big Nasiriye village to the south east of Kobanê. Fierce clashes that broke out following the strong response of YPG/YPJ forces and Burkan Al-Fırat fighters are reported to be continuing in the area.
In the meantime, it has been reported that the gangs opened intense mortar fire on the village of Cade to the south of Kobanê. In the eastern part, YPG forces targeted a motorcycle of the gangs between Îqbiş and İdaniyê villages last night, leaving the vehicle damaged and the gang members in it dead. In same area, YPG forces carried out an action on Girê Xanê, leaving 3 gang members dead.
YPG forces also targeted the gangs on the “International Road (Rotka), destroying 1 vehicle of the gangs with the gang members in it. In the clashes that took place in the area 3 gang members were killed.
Furthermore in the eastern part, the ISIS gangs attacked on Milisê Kor village. While clashes broke out following the strong response of the YPG/YPJ forces, many gang members were reportedly killed in the clashes.
In the meantime clashes broke out in the villages of Til Nesrî, Til Şamîran and Xêbiş of Til Temir between joint defence forces (YPG/YPJ, Assyrian Military Assembly, Khabour Defence Forces, Sutoro and the Asayish forces) and the ISIS gangs. Suffering heavy losses, ISIS gangs reportedly bombarded the villages by mortar fire in response.
