Deniz Kaya issued a written statement in the name of PKK and PAJK prisoners about the hunger strikes.
“The resistance movement started in prisons by our people against the isolation policies imposed upon our people’s Leader continues to deepen in extent and content, and achieve a higher feature process,” said the statement and continued:
“The fascist AKP-MHP government aims to disband the resistance and the resistance’s demands through special war policies rather than approaching the demands if the ongoing resistance correctly.
The indefinite non-alternating hunger strikes that have continued since December 16 will continue until the Leader achieves free working and living conditions.
DTK Co-chair and Hakkari MP Leyla Guven, who has been on an indefinite non-alternating hunger strike for 80 days, being on the outside now and still continuing her resistance has great significance.
As the PKK and PAJK prisoners, we state that we will continue our resistance with great morale and resolve until the Leader has achieved free living and working conditions, whether we are on the inside or out.
We are calling on all our people and the democratic public to come together around the resistance and speak out. Whether we are on the inside or out, the isolation will be broken!”
