Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is expected to meet Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) President Masoud Barzani this weekend in Diyarbakır.

Prime Ministry sources said Erdoğan will go to Diyarbakır on 16 November. Here he will attend a number of ceremonies and meet Barzani. Talks are expected to continue the following day. 

A few weeks ago, KRG Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani held talks with Turkish PM and other officials in Istanbul. 

In those meetings they talked about a comprehensive package of deals with Turkey to build multi-billion dollar oil and gas pipelines to ship the region’s rich hydrocarbon reserves to world markets, accordinge to Reuters. 
If a deal is to reached, KRG could export some 2 million barrels per day of oil to world markets and at least 10 billion cubic meters per year of gas to Turkey.
