A political genocide operation was carried out against Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) administrators and members in Izmir's Gaziemir and Bornova districts this morning.

Persons detained in police raids against several home addresses are: Faruk Demir, Veysi Karakas, Halil Demir, Zeliha Azizoglu, Ahmet Ates, Buse Ersoz, Zuhal Celebi.  

Detainees are being held in the Izmir Police Directorate, while reports say there may be further detentions.
