Democratic Union Party (PYD) has released a statement responding to Syrian National Council's reaction over the announcement of an interim autonomous government following a meeting in the city of Qamıshlo on Tuesday.
PYD remarked that the Syrian National Council has displayed a hostile attitude after the success YPG gained in recent operations and the announcement of a transitional government.
The party stressed that the opposition within the Council tried to prevent the accomplishment of the national project by overshadowing the Kurdish people.
PYD quoted Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan who said in respect to the together living of the peoples in Syria that; “The Kurdish people's brotherhood with the Arab people cannot be realised under the influence of the present regime. We want to establish relations with all peoples and belief groups on the basis of the democratic nation system and unity, brotherhood and together living”.
The party noted that the some groups in the Syrian National Council acted in line with the policies of the Turkish AKP government and some gulf countries and tried to pull Kurds into the war going on in the country.
Reminding that the mentioned groups accused the PYD of being an “enemy of revolution”, the party added that; “These groups were watching the developments in silence while al-Qaeda linked groups such as the ISIL and the al-Nusra Front attacked Kurds, but they started to call for a war against the YPG after its militants liberated the Til Koçer city. They are now accusing our party of being an “enemy of revolution” after we initiated works for transitional government”.
PYD called on all political groups and individuals in the Coalition to display sensitivity towards the games of these groups which -it underlined- served the dark forces that bear enmity against the Kurdish people and have been party to the massacres of Kurdish women and children in Kobanê.
The party called on Kurdish and Arab groups to leave the Coalition and to be sensitive towards war merchants.
