Remains of 20 women found in mass grave in Mosul
Remains of twenty women were found in a mass grave in the west of Mosul.
“Relics of 20 women were found inside a mass grave while removing debris in western Mosul,” Col. Omar al-Hajjar said.
According to Hajjar, the women were executed by Islamic State as they were trying to escape toward the eastern side of the city during the offensive by the Iraqi forces.
“Security troops recovered all the bodies along with their identity cards. They were transferred to forensic medicine department in Mosul to extradite them to their relatives,” he added.
