DTK co-chair and HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven has been on hunger strike for 91 days demanding an end to isolation against Abdullah Öcalan.

Since her release from prison Leyla Güven has been visited at her home in Amed by dozens of politicians, artists, academics and the people.

The families of those who lost life in Roboski, as a result of a massacre carried out by the Turkish state in 2011, have visited Leyla Güven.

Hayyam Encü who lost his son Şivan in the massacre, and Veli Encü who lost his brother Serhat, went to visit the HDP MP on behalf of the families of the Roboski massacre victims.

Leyla Güven told the Roboski families: “Your hearts were shattered by shelling, your cry is a people's cry. Do not worry for me, my life is not more precious than you’re the lives of your sons”.
