Rocket attack hits police buildings in Ankara
Two facilities buildings of Police General Directorate in Turkish capital Ankara's Dikmen neighborhood were targeted by a rocket attack late Friday evening.
The attack caused no casualties but damaged one of the two buildings targeted.
In an expansive operation launched by security forces after the incident, two suspected perpetrators of the attack reportedly clashed with police on Ankara-Konya way. One of them, Muharrem Karakaş, was killed and the other, Serdar Polat, was seriously wounded in clashes with police.
Polat was taken to Dışkapı Training and Research Hospital while Karataş will be referred to the morgue of the forensic medicine institution after the examination of his body at the hospital.
