Sinn Féin to commemorate 100th anniversary of Irish Volunteers
Sinn Féin will today host an important commemorative event to mark the 100th anniversary of the foundation of Óglaigh na hÉireann - the Irish Volunteers.
A rally and drama production will take place in the Pillar Room of the Rotunda on Dublin's Parnell Square at 7.30pm as part of a day long series of events to mark the centenary.
A free exhibition will take place in the Rotunda from 11am-4pm. Rebel walking tours of Dublin city centre will take place on the hour from 12noon through to 4pm from the Sinn Féin bookshop on Parnell Square.
The official launch of 'The Rotunda - Birthplace of the Irish Volunteers' by Aengus Ó Snodaigh TD will take place in the Rotunda at 6pm.
