Soldiers open fire on villagers involved in border trade

Turkish soldiers opened fire on a group of local people from the villages of Taşdelen and Ortabağ in Uludere district of Şırnak on their way back from South Kurdistan border which they crossed for border trade.

The villagers remained stranded on the other side of the border as a result of the armed attack by soldiers affiliated to the Turkish army which has recently increased its activities along the border.

As tension remains high, people from both villages have left for the border on hearing about the incident.
