Kurdish politician Leyla Güven has been on a hunger strike in Amed for 81 days, HDP member Nasır Yağız in Hewlêr (Erbil) for 68 days, the first group of hunger strikers in Turkish prisons for 43 days, 14 activists in Strasbourg for 42 days, İmam Şiş in Newport also 42 days. Further indefinite hunger strikes take place in Duisburg, The Hague, Canada and Maxmur in Southern Kurdistan.
To support the hunger strikers in their call for an end to the isolation of the PKK's founder Abdullah Öcalan, solidarity actions took place in nine European countries yesterday.
Germany
In Bremen a demonstration took place from the main station to the state parliament, in which also members of the German Left Party DIE LINKE took part. At the closing rally, a speech by Nimet Sevim from the hunger strike in Strasbourg was broadcast live over the phone.
At a demonstration in Darmstadt, Kurdish politician Mustafa Sarıkaya delivered a speech on behalf of the hunger strikers in Strasbourg.
In Mannheim a demonstration took place from Paradeplatz to the castle.
In Frankfurt, a demonstration of solidarity with a banner saying "Freedom for Öcalan, status for Kurdistan" took place.
At a demonstration of solidarity from Bernauer Strasse to Alexanderplatz in Berlin, people carried YPG/YPJ flags in addition to banners expressing solidarity with the hunger strikers.
In Kassel a demonstration was ataged with the motto "We are all Leyla Güven".
A demonstration organized by the Kurdish youth movement took place in Düsseldorf.
Further actions took place in Hamburg, Bonn, Stuttgart, Freiburg, Karlsruhe, Hanover, Dresden and Nuremberg.
France
Kurds and their friends took to the streets in Paris and expressed their support to the demand of the hunger strikers for Öcalan.
In Rennes, hundreds of people gathered in the Place du Colombia and staged a demonstration around the city. Other demonstrations took place in Lorient and Bordeaux.

In Rome there was a rally at the Popolo Square.
Belgium
A call from the Kurdish umbrella organizations KCDK-E and TJK-E for an action on the Place de la Monnaie in Brussels was followed not only by Kurds but also by left-wing organizations from Turkey with their own banners.
Denmark
In Copenhagen, people staged a march from the city center in front of the Danish TV and radio station DR, to draw attention to the hunger strikes.
Sweden
Demonstrations in solidarity with Leyla Güven were held in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Helsingborg and Malmö.
Norway
In Norway, actions took place in Stavanger and Trondheim.
Netherlands
Hüseyin Yıldız and Hasbi Çakıcı, who went on an indefinite hunger strike in The Hague nine days ago, took part in a demonstration in Amsterdam. The demonstration ended with a rally at the Museumplein.
Austria
In addition to Kurds, left-wing organizations and anarchist groups took part in a demonstration at the Westbahnhof in Vienna. Another demonstration took place in Graz.
Switzerland
In Switzerland, actions took place in Bern, Geneva, Aarau, St. Gallen and Basel.
