Summary of proceedings against 19 HDP MPs

Summary of proceedings has been issued against 19 MPs of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) for protesting the arrangement for the removal of parliamentary impunity last year.

19 MPs of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) are facing a summary of proceedings on the grounds that they chanted “We will triumph resisting” and "Bijî Serok Apo" (Long Live Leader Öcalan) during the talks for the removal of parliamentary impunity on 2 May 2016.

The summary of proceedings prepared by Ankara Public Prosecutor’s Office has been sent to the Ministry of Justice to be submitted to the Parliament.

The HDP deputies facing a summary of proceedings are: Dilan Dirayet Taşdemir, Sibel Yiğitalp, Çağlar Demirel, Hüda Kaya, Ayşe Acar Başaran, Adem Geveri, Mithat Sancar, Ferhat Encu, Gülser Yıldırım, İbrahim Ayhan, Garo Paylan, Bedia Özgökçe Ertan, Meral Danış Beştaş, Mahmut Toğrul, Ertuğrul Kürkçü, Mizgin Irgat, Saadet Becerikli, Nadir Yıldırım and Ziya Pir.

On the other hand, investigation has been launched against Besime Konca and Nursel Aydoğan, whose membership in the parliament was revoked before.
