Sur atrocities exhibited in The Hague City Hall

The destruction and war crimes committed by the state during the self-governance resistances in Amed’s Sur district are being exhibited in The Hague, the Netherlands.
Works by Dutch photographer Piet Den Blanken were debuted to the public in the The Hague City Hall on Tuesday. The exposition will remain open until January 9.
Sur Co-mayor Fatma Sik Barut, Greens-Left Party The Hague Group Chairperson Arjen Kapiteijn, The Hague Stads Party Group Chairperson Joris Wijsmuller, Socialist Party MP Sadet Karabulut and The Hague City Council Members attended the opening ceremony.
Fatma Sik Barut gave a speech in the opening and said the exposition is very meaningful, and will contribute to bringing the atrocities to light and avoid impunity.
