The house of Faysal Babat, the DEM Party town chair of Sêgirkê was attacked.
The house of DEM Party Şenoba (Sêgirkê) town chair Faysal Babat was attacked with a lighting flare on the night of 2 February.
It was learned that soldiers and gendarmerie were dispatched to the scene as the flare hit the tree in front of the house by chance.
The gendarmerie, who recorded the report, took the family members from the police station to the police station and took their statements.
Şenoba is in the Qilêban (Uludere) district of Şirnex (Şirnak). The local Gendarmerie Command launched an investigation into the incident.
DEM Party member Faysal Babat said that he had been subjected to similar attacks and threats before and that he felt not safe.
On 11 December 2023, DEM Party leader Ahmet Gün was murdered by village guards in the Şenoba countryside, and his son Abdürrahim Gün was injured.
