For four days 200 internationalists have been walking from Luxembourg to Strasbourg to demonstrate for the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan and to call for an immediate stop to the Turkish military operation against Afrin.

On the internationalist long march for Öcalan and Afrin a distance of 70 kilometers has been covered so far.

Yesterday, Metz hosted cultural activities and a seminar on the various liberation movements in the countries of origin of internationalists, highlighting the Rojava revolution as a "source of inspiration" for world movements.

After a 8 km walk on the fourth day, participants of the march from 17 different countries will end the Luxembourg-France stage of the march and travel by bus from Metz to Lausanne this evening. Following a press statement in Lausanne at 10:00 Monday morning, the internationalists will head towards Geneva, to be accompanied by 150 members of the PYD Europe organization and involve hundreds of Kurds living in Switzerland.

The stage in Switzerland is scheduled for four days and will end on 16 February with a demonstration and sit-in against the attacks by the Turkish state on Efrîn in front of the UN building, expected to be attended by 10 thousand people. 50 elected Kurdish politicians in European countries will also attend the sit-in before holding talks at the United Nations about Turkey’s attacks against Afrin and isolation of Öcalan.

In the evening, thousands of people will set out on buses to Strasbourg, where on February 17, a major demonstration will take place to mark February 15, 1999, abduction of Abdullah Ocalan.
