People's Defense Forces (HPG) Press and Communication Centre said in a statement that the Turkish army continued bombardments and aerial activity in Medya Defense Zones.

HPG said that Turkish military has enhanced the construction of new emplacements around the Oremar military post under the control of Turkish army in Yüksekova district of Hakkari as of 20 March. The statement said Turkish soldiers at the military post opened random fire on surrounding areas at 10:00 – 11:00 yesterday.

According to the statement, Turkish army also carried out a bombardment with howitzers and mortars, targeting the Hill Martyr Şêxmus, Deryê Davetîya and Dola Deryê Davetiya areas from the Çete hill military post at 15:00 - 16:00 on 28 March. HPG said that guerrilla forces immediately responded to the attacks with heavy weapons.

Unmanned aerial vehicles of the Turkish army carried out reconnaissance flights over the Zap region 14:00 – 15:00 yesterday, HPG added.

Iranian army shells Kandil

The statement by People's Defense Forces pointed out that on the other hand, Iranian military also launched a bombardment with howitzer, mortar and heavy weaponry at 18:00 – 19:00 yesterday, targeting the Dola Kokê and Martyr Dılbirin areas from the military posts on the border to Kandil region in Medya Defense Zones.

Aircraft of the Iranian army also performed reconnaissance flights over Hill Martyr Nuda last night.
