Turkish military deployment to Afrin border continues

The Turkish army continues deploying military vehicles to the Syrian border as part of its preparations for an invasion operation against Afrin.

A part of the Turkish army’s military vehicles that had been brought to the border with Southern Kurdistan near Şırnak’s Silopi district last year have been loaded on trucks and dispatched to the Turkish Hatay province bordering Syria.

The trucks that were dispatched to Silopi yesterday have been loaded with armored military vehicles and left for Antep and Hatay Monday morning.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan repeated his threats to attack Afrin on Sunday, after which Turkish troops and affiliated gangs shelled villages of the canton, facing immediate and strong retaliation from YPG/YPJ fighters.
