Twin blasts kill two, wound four people in Kirkuk

A blast occurred as a police vehicle passed by the village of al-Nasif 35 km southwest of Kirkuk on Sunday. Two police officers died as a result of the blast and their bodies were taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute of Kirkuk Hospital.
On the other hand, another blast hit a pick-up vehicle near Mari Police Station in Dıbız district of Kirkuk. Four people were wounded and rushed to Kirkuk Hospital.
While the reasons of the blasts are not clear yet, nobody has claimed responsibility for the incidents into which an investigation has been launched.
