Two civilians killed in artillery attack in Aleppo

Clashes between People's Defense Units (YPG) and al-Qaeda linked gang groups are continuing in the Aleppo city of western Kurdistan.

The armed groups affiliated to FSA and the Military Council of Aleppo have been attacking the mainly Kurdish Sheik Maksoud (Şêx Meqsûd), Esrefiye, Sekin Şebabi and Şiqêf neighborhoods since 6 September. The radical Islamist groups are using heavy weapons in their attacks against the Kurdish region.

The gang groups launched artillery attacks on Tuesday evening after suffering heavy losses in clashes with YPG fighters.

An artillery attack targeting the Kurdish populated region left two civilians, Mihemed Xelo and his son Beşar Xelo dead, and one other, Mihemed Mistefa, wounded yesterday evening.
