The South Kurdistan Freedom for Öcalan Committee launched a broad campaign on the 23rd anniversary of the 15 February 1999 international conspiracy against Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Many names from different parts of the world support the campaign.
American philosopher, historian and linguist Noam Chomsky joined the campaign's supporters.
According to the campaign organizers, Chomsky conveyed his support for the campaign in a special message, saying, "I am very happy to give my support."
Chomsky has been supporting the Kurdish people's struggle for many years and is among the entrepreneurs of the Peace Initiative for Kurdistan.
