Vigil at Kobanê border continues
As fierce fighting between YPG/YPJ and ISIS in Kobanê has entered the 25th day, people from North Kurdistan are continuing, despite all the restrictions and attacks by Turkish security forces, to hold vigil at Suruç-Kobanê border in solidarity with the resistance of People's/Women's Protection Units against inhumane ISIS gangs.
In the village of Boydê to the west of Suruç, soldiers with armored vehicles attacked the people on vigil last night. The second brutal intervention by soldiers came as the people dispersed around started to gather again in the village. Many were detained in the crackdown and were later released after being battered by soldiers.
Turkish troops continued to attack the people till midnight.
The vigil in the village of Dewşen has in the meantime been taken over by groups coming from Mardin and Adana.
