Residents who fled the village of Alrkba (in the district of Tel Tamer) began to return to their homes after the YPG (People's Defense Units)  liberated the village from armed militants from The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

Amshah Hussein, a resident of Alrkba, told Hawar news: "We were forced to flee our homes after the attacks by mercenaries groups against the village. Finally we are coming back after our forces, the YPG, have liberated and retaken the village"

Hussein recalled that the Islamic militants were "firing at our homes and kidnappings our children. That is what prompted us to leave village".

Hussein underlined that "without the YPG units protecting the people we will never have been able to return to our homes. The YPG is the only legitimate power in the area".
